WHITE ROCK RHYTHMS presents
MARK COOK'S STATIC TRIOSaturday, June 03, 2006
http://bathhousecultural.com/jazz.html
7:00 PM • Free. Donations are welcome.
Produced by Kim Corbet.
For three years now, the White Rock Rhythms concert series has showcased the great diversity of the (mostly underground) Dallas jazz scene, with styles ranging from traditional swing and New Orleans Street beat to contemporary progressive and the Avant Garde.
To help celebrate the opening of Outside the Lines, the Bath House's celebration of the work of local artists, White Rock Rhythms will fire up one more time before summer sets in. the first Fort Worth band to grace our stage is Mark Cook's Static Trio, an experimental group whose sound lies somewhere between progressive rock and jazz commonly heard on the dark side of the sun.
StaticTrio is: Mark Cook, Terry Horn & Ryan Supak.
Explorative, lively, playful and intense, these guys like to find out what's out there and it's always fun to tag along. The group features Mark on his outrageously exotic Warr guitars and the circuit bending talents of Terry Horn. Part of the Ft. Worth 7th street scene, come find out why they were chosen as the companion to Outside the Lines.
Thanks so much for your support of the first annual White Rock Jazz
Festival.
